Hello everyone!
Before I start, let me just say that I am very very excited to be starting a new project soon. I’ll be posting more details on my instagram as the week goes on, so stay tuned ;)
I thought I'd start the first full week of May with some of the best new singles to hit streaming platforms. Without further ado, here's my current lineup of repeat-worthy songs:
If You're Too Shy (Let Me Know) - The 1975

The introduction of The 1975's newest anthem sounds like a collection of juxtaposed instrumentation noises until the signature dreamy guitar of the I Like it When You Sleep era hits. After that, the rest is history - another incredibly catchy, real chorus will have you dancing in no time. Notes On A Conditional Form, the band's fourth studio album, will be released on May 22 of this year.
Is Everybody Going Crazy? - Nothing But Thieves

I was pleasantly surprised to hear that NBT had released a new single after their two-year hiatus, and BOY was I ready to rock when that first riff hit my speakers. The vocal range between verses and the chorus is incredible, and the group has not lost their edge when it comes to keeping rock elements at the forefront of their sound. This is definitely the type of song you'll end up blasting after a long day - release those endorphins! While there has been no news of a potential new NBT album, we can still wait and hope...
Anaphylaxis - PUP

If punk rock is more your style, look no further than PUP's new jam channeling anxiety, allergies, and all-around panic (relatable). The fast-paced tempo and flawless transition from verse to chorus means three full minutes of headbanging and chaotically yelling the lyrics. Since these fellas released Morbid Stuff in mid-2019, a new full LP for 2020 is unlikely.
Dreamland - Glass Animals

The first time hearing this, my jaw damn near dropped. The echoing, pure sound of Dave's vocals highlight the message of reminiscing on old memories, especially those filled with emotional trauma. The band is preparing to release their first studio album in four years, titled Dreamland, on July 10th of this year. Keep your eyes peeled for new singles...
The Most Beautiful Thing - Bruno Major

This is the second surprise single from Major this year, who has not released a studio album since 2017. The laid back guitar and drum beat combine with Major's honey-like tone to create a lazy love song, reminiscing on a perfect fantasy relationship. This track is perfect for sunset hour, sunrise hour, lunch hour... pretty much any time you need a chill melody to reset the vibe.
I hope that you guys check out one, if not all, of these new songs! Each artist in this lineup is incredibly talented, and there is definitely much to look forward to in the music industry as 2020 progresses.
Until Next Time,
Anna xxx
